This position will assist in supervising the Bell Services function, transport luggage to and from guest rooms and answer phones. The role may secure, tag and store luggage as required, as well as inspect the cleanliness of the hotel entrance, bell desk, luggage room and hotel vehicles, if applicable.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of bell services including door and luggage services

  • Ensure all staff is properly trained including service expectations, hotel facilities and services, local directions, safety procedures, etc. and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions

  • Provides information to guest, resolves discrepancies. Coordinates group room package drops

  • Manages schedules to labor standards

  • Attends meetings

  • Establish/maintain procedures for securing, tagging, and storing guest luggage, as well as luggage-handling procedures for tour arrivals and departures

  • Conduct routine inspections of the guest entrance, bell desk, and related public areas to ensure the appearance of such areas reflects highly on the hotel and brand

  • Perform other duties as assigned including assisting incoming and outgoing guests in transporting luggage to and from rooms during peak periods

Qualifications

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, plus one year customer service experience including some supervisory training/experience preferred. This job requires ability to perform the following: carrying, pushing, or lifting items weighing up to 100 pounds. You may be required to work nights and weekends.
