Your day to day
Under the general direction of the Executive Housekeeper, and within the limits of established InterContinental Hotels Group and hotel’s policies and procedures, oversees and directs the day to day operation of the Laundry Department and maintains the overall efficiency. As a Laundry Manager your role will be supervising and supporting the day-to-day operations of the Laundry Department, and also delivering and maintaining an excellent guest experience. You will ensure that all items laundered and dry cleaned within the hotel’s laundry are finished to the highest standard achievable and returned to the guests or staff in immaculate condition. Organizing movement of dirty and clean laundry and of guest valet service. Ensuring that regular preventive maintenance is carried out and reduce downtime with proper coordination with the maintenance department. Working with the Human Resource Manager to ensure the departmental performance of staff is productive and also work with superior in the preparation and management of the department’s budget. You will also assist Executive Houskeeper to ensure IHG Clean promise is implemented.
What we need from you
You will possess complete knowledge of washing, spotting, starching, dry-cleaning, and pressing techniques also excellent supervisory and management skills with 2-3 years of experience in a similar role. Good organization and training skills are essential and should have good problem-solving skills and able to maintain good relations with the Guests by communicating effectively and building a rapport with them.
