Job Summary – (Role Summary)

The Director, Revenue Management - Commercial & CMH, NYC will drive the development, implementation and

operation of both strategic and tactical programs designed to enhance revenue

management services penetration and deliver significant competitive advantage

for the Company. Incumbent will be responsible for the performance and business

trend analysis, process evaluation, budgeting, field-level training, and

deployment of Company resources to achieve strategic objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities– (Key Activities)

  • Coach anddevelop On-property Directors of Revenue Management to ensure a good levelof productivity and consistency with IHG Revenue Management Strategy.

  • Provideguidance to direct reports in problem identification and resolution.

  • Work withinternal departments as needed to escalate consistent issues or notedtrends and bring resolution.

  • Identifytraining opportunities within hotel Revenue management teams andcoordinate/facilitate training at regional events to eliminate gaps.

  • Develop andimplement innovative revenue performance strategies to drive performancein Company Managed hotels in assigned markets.

  • Implement andcommunicate strategic plans and new company initiatives at assigned hotelsportfolio.

  • Champion theCMH Revenue Management ways of working and Fit for the Future operatingmodel.

  • Drive revenueperformance and delivery of our Winning Metrics

  • Work with teamand other key stakeholders to assess competitive data, brainstorming onnew ideas to better implement strategies, developing innovative consultingor organizational tools, researching trends, planning for implementationof targeted programs to hotels, etc.).

  • Develop andpresent at leadership and regional meetings in the assigned geographicregion or brand.

  • Lead assignedfunctions within established budgetary and resource plans; establishperformance standards, and operating procedures. Participate increation of department staffing and capital budgets.

  • AssetResponsibility for the team – Ensure that Company vehicles and trainingresources, computers and audio-visual equipment are properly transported,secured and maintained.

Qualifications

Education – Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Hotel

Management, Business, or a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination

of education and work-related experience in hotel operations.

Experience – 12 years progressive work-related

experience in the hospitality industry, with Revenue Management, Sales and

multi-unit hotel management experience desired.

At least 5 years of experience managing teams and

leading significant complex projects desired.

Technical skills and Knowledge –

  • Demonstratedexperience to drive successful revenue management strategy at big boxhotels in major US markets

  • Proven abilityto design and execute multi-year business mix strategies with significantgroup share

  • Deepunderstanding of pricing concepts and technics for Luxury and lifestylebrands

  • Experience onleading cross functional strategies involving Sales, Marketing, Digital,operations and other related areas to drive revenue performance.

  • Demonstratedability to lead and develop highly skilled individuals.

  • Demonstratedeffective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose ofproviding information to clients, vendors, senior management andstaff.

  • Demonstratedexperience with industry and market trends as they relate to revenueopportunities, and demonstrated ability to drive revenue.

  • Demonstratedknowledge of effective hotel pricing concepts, yield managementoptimization and selling strategies, and ability to determine whichconcepts to apply in given market conditions.

  • Demonstratedexperience in industry training, including preparation, implementation anddelivery of training programs.

  • Demonstratedanalytical skills and ability to use the results of analysis to makeeffective strategic decisions.

  • Demonstratedproblem solving and time management skills.

  • Demonstratedability to identify actions to improve hotel performance and develop anaction plan tailored to an individual hotel/account’s needs andsophistication.

  • Demonstratedattention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks/clientsrequired.

LOCATION : New York, NY

TRAVEL : Up to 60%, as needed to facilitate business objectives.
