Due to growth and expansion in this region with more than 30 operational and more than 15 new

hotels, we're looking for a Director,Capital Planning & Projects for Australasia , this role will be

based in Sydney.

The Director, Capital Planning &

Projects is to plan, execute and finalize Hotel Property Improvement Plans (PIPs)

to agreed scope, program and budget within IHG’s Company Managed Hotels (CMH)

and leased hotels across Australia, New Zealand and PNG. This includes engaging

both internal as well as external resources and coordinating the efforts of all

relevant team members and third-party contractors / consultants in order to deliver

PIPs according to plan. This role is responsible for defining each project’s

objectives and support leadership to implement Asset stewardship initiatives

that support profitability for owners & brand consistency for guests.


You will have a Bachelors or Master’s degree in fields of Architecture, Engineering, Procurement or Project / Cost Management combined with a Minimum 10 years direct work experience in senior project management and capital planning capacity. Be a Strong Team Player and previously work experience within an international/global organization, preferably in a service branded environment in the hospitality sector.

You must have a strong understanding of the various Australasia business environments and countries of operation, experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with sound understanding of hotel operational requirements in the context of building services and infrastructure.
