At the moment we're looking for a Senior Manager, Portfolio Revenue - Resorts to join us in Singapore.

Job Overview

  • This role leads the revenue function across a portfolio of hotels within SEAK and Resorts region, developing and managing short, medium, and long-term strategies for profitable revenue generation and capture.

  • Leads cross functional decision making of sound, tactical and strategic initiatives; accurately forecast demand and price accordingly; and lead and manage the RMH Portfolio Revenue Manager’s performance, in an efficient and effective environment of continuous improvement.

  • Responsible for pro-actively and cost effectively maximizing subscriber hotel room revenues, RevPAR and system delivery to achieve superior performance in comparison to the competitive set as measured in RGI and as against budget growth targets for the SEAK and Resorts region.

  • Scope of work focuses on Room Accommodations, but may extent to conferencing and events, food and beverage outlets, channel management and loyalty contribution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Key Activities)

  • Under the guidance of the Director Revenue, RMH Leaders, Regional Commercial & Revenue Performance Leaders, provide direction to the allocated Portfolio Revenue Manager and hotel Sales & Marketing team and ensure execution of effective strategies and actions for revenue management, pricing, yield management, forecasting and channel delivery to achieve agreed RevPAR, RGI, system delivery, revenue and profitability objectives.

Pricing/Yielding:

  • Develop, manage, and implement 2-3 year plans for a portfolio of hotels in order to drive superior growth across all revenue streams and in turn growth in market share, taking into consideration the market and economic trends, whilst fully utilising the IHG Revenue management suite of tools, systems, and procedures

  • Reviews secondary research data & analysis to understand competitor practices & performance, economic & consumer trends and the dynamic of the market & demand generators. Uses this knowledge to identify and implement opportunities to generate incremental revenues and therefore drive revenue and pricing strategies with adequate ROI for all portfolio hotels.

  • Supports Portfolio Revenue Manager or hotel Revenue lead with insights and recommendations to ensure that pricing, conversion and yield restrictions in Holidex Plus/ Perform or IHG Concerto are appropriate to forecasted demand and inventory is balanced and the daily operations of the Reservations team and revenue systems are managed effectively. For Managed hotels and in conjunction with the hotel leadership team, implement system actions around pricing and yield to drive optimal RevPAR delivery.

  • Lead weekly yield meetings, monthly rest of year forecast sign off meetings and monthly Revenue Generation meetings with key hotel stakeholders to ensure consistent focus on optimizing performance.

Qualifications

Education:

  • University Degree or Hospitality Diploma/Degree is essential

  • Post Graduate in Hospitality, Sales & Marketing or related field is desirable

Experience:

  • Overall experience of 5+ years in Hospitality Industry

  • Advanced understanding of Yield Management with a minimum of 3 years’ experience preferably in a Cluster/Portfolio Revenue Management Environment

  • Management experience required

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

  • Intimate knowledge of Central Reservation System (Holidex Plus/Trust/Marsha etc), Property Management System (Opera).

  • Proven knowledge of Revenue Management Software Systems like Optims, Ideas, Rate360, Perform & Price Optimization.

  • IHG Systems & Tools knowledge will be ideal.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge, particularly Excel.

  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills.

  • Revenue Management Essential Certification is preferred along with Certification for Holidex Plus and Perform & Price Optimization.
