Your day to day
Adding a passionate and worldly team who can bring the InterContinental Life alive is the last puzzle piece for the Resort’s delivery of rich and personal experiences. As a Duty Manager you will be one of the key leaders of our Resort, driving the service culture and overseeing all aspects of the Guest Services operations. In this unique environment, including reception, bell and concierge.
Also being responsible for the overall operation of the business where senior leadership and the Resort is not present, your day to day will involve;
Coaching and development of team around systems, service delivery, brand and standards
Guest service and problem resolution
Driving financial and soft targets and metrics
Managing the productivity and performance of the team, including payroll and leave
Seeking, monitoring and assessing guest feedback and putting into place detailed action plans focussed on enhancing the guest journey
Ensuring a safe and secure environment for guests and colleagues
Driving colleague engagement and brand pride across the Rooms Division
What we need from you
If you'd like to embrace a wider world of experiences and opportunities, we'd like to welcome you to the world's most international luxury hotel brand. Ideally, you will have at least 2-3 years experience in an upscale hotel, resort or equivalent environment as a Duty Manager or similar leadership capacity.
A problem solver with the capability to turn challenges into opportunities, your exposure to wider hotel and resort operations alongside experience partnering with operations will be key to your success. With strong communication skills and the ability to think outside the box, you’re also physically fit and able to lift luggage and other items as needed to assist guests. You must also hold the appropriate work rights to work within Australia and be flexible to work weekends and evenings as required.
