We have a rare opportunity for an experienced and commercially minded Resort Manager to join one of IHG’s halo InterContinental Resorts and partner with the General Manager to drive unrivalled luxury and business performance.

We are currently seeking an exceptional and driven leader to join our team as the Resort Manager. The re-imagined InterContinental Hayman Island Resort will immerse you in the wonders of working in five-star luxury and offer amazing career platform coupled with the opportunity to live in a world heritage area, on the Great Barrier Reef.
Your day to day

Reporting to the General Manager, this is a key role within the Executive team and will be responsible for the daily operations and profitability, delivered through exceptional leadership of the Rooms Division, Restaurant & Bars, Culinary, Activities, Spa and Security functions.
Demonstrating your exceptional operational experience, you will ensure success through:
Using your innovative and commercial thinking to develop and deliver initiatives to maintain and grow guest satisfaction and profitability.
Taking ownership over the execution of key performance indicators across the operation and instilling a high performance culture.
Leading and developing your direct reports within the Resorts management team, with a focus on achieving and exceeding goals and targets set.
Drive a culture of high performance and engagement and growth and development which spans across all levels of the team.

What we need from you
As the ideal candidate you will have a Bachelor Degree in Hospitality or Tourism, with significant experience in Resort Management with a proven track record of delivering operational effectiveness. Strategic thinking, the ability to explore new ways of working and an open mind around how we can drive the Resort forward with regards to efficiencies will be paramount. You will be a change agent with the ability to work alongside a team and collaborate with varied stakeholders which is underpinned by exceptional leadership expertise and ability to create and grow high performing teams. You must also meet the legal requirements to work in Australia without restrictions.
