As Human Resources Generalist you will be the central point of contact for data

collection, co-ordination of HR programs such as colleagues surveys, colleagues

recognition, performance appraisals, including follow-up and reporting of

results, provide limited analysis and summary of data as requested, assist

recruitment, and perform a variety of administrative support duties.

DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

Talent resourcing:

  • Assist in recruiting and staffinglogistics

  • Download CVs from the system and shortlistpositions for JB 8-10

  • Assist in 1st level candidate screening,interview and perform reference check and education verifications for JB8-10

  • Preparing Offer Letter for JB 8-10

  • Provides support in new arrivals pick up,preparation of Welcome Pack and coordinating with the AccommodationManager in ensuring that rooms and amenities are organized and prepared

  • Organize and conduct Hotel Tour & DohaCity Tour for new joiners (as required).

  • Assist with HR orientation/onboardingprocess

  • Liaises withrelevant embassies on recruitment and employee welfare issues

  • Processes all confirmed colleagues offersin relation to entry visas, ensuring that a weekly update is provided tothe Personnel/HR Manager.

HR Administration:

  • Coordinate with designated travel agencyand the employee on colleagues travel requests; assist in bookingvacation, emergency and business travel arrangements.

  • Assist with the hotels official bank toorganize new pay cards for colleagues and opening bank account forsupervisors and managers as per hotel policy. Follow on any staff requestin relation to bank transaction and requests.

  • Prepare letters requested by colleaguesfor various official and personal purposes like (embassy issues, bank, carlicenses, liquor licenses etc.)

  • Responsible for updating HR notice boardsand for marketing internal events and promotions by preparing innovativeposter campaign

  • Ensure end of service transactions isprepared and be accurate. Liaise with finance for payment of end ofservice as per exit schedule.

  • Conversant with alltasks of the HR Administration, including CivilSoft

  • Maintain and control office supplies,stocks and issue them as required.

  • Maintain colleagues personal files for newjoiners, existing employees and leavers

  • Contribute with preparation of HR monthlyreports

Government Relation:

  • Assist in preparing the necessarydocumentation required for issues with immigration, such as the residencepermit applications, RP renewals, and applications for work visa’s,including medical examination, finger prints and labour department.

  • Assist in acquiring documents to arrangetourist visa applications for all entertainers to support Visa Officer.

  • Arranges all exitvisa’s following the related P&P and communicating details toappropriate parties at least 72 hours prior to departure, or in case ofemergency leave at the earliest possible opportunity

  • Assist in dealingwith issues in relation to the hotel operations, from any Ministries, anyGovernment departments or Owning Company to support visa officer.

  • Keeps the HR teamupdated on any changes in local law or legislation

Learning & Development:

  • Assists in the preparation of materials(such as certificates, awards, gifts, etc.) and presentation for anyevents specifically monthly team meetings.

  • AssistL&D with employee training programs and special events, including:preparing manuals/materials and supplies, updating and coordinatingcalendars, room set up, system access, tracking participation, and centerset up for special incentives and events.

  • Performa variety of L&D administrative support duties as assigned. Preparecharts, presentation data, or logs as required and according toestablished specifications. Answer inquiries related to daily activitiesof work area, and act as a liaison between assigned work area and internaland external contacts to convey appropriate information. Compose clear andconcise correspondence as requested or required. Copy, route, and fileappropriate documents in an accurate and timely manner. May review, trackdata, complete and/or monitor staff itineraries, calendars, expensereports, or other functional reports as needed.

  • Coordinatestraining supplies and usage of training rooms

Employee relations:

  • Assist to organize planned events roundthe year for all hotel colleagues to keep high level of motivation and energy.Events should be fun as well as a learning experience they should be ONESTEP AHEAD

  • Support the HotelNurse in ensuring that all F&B colleagues have received their foodhandlers certificates and that they are valid

  • Establishes andmaintains effective colleague relations, and provides guidance andassistance on matters relating to staff welfare of work.

  • Supports thePersonnel Manager / Human Resources Manager in the continued review ofhotel policies and procedures, based on the full knowledge of local lawand legislation, liaising with the Qatari Labour department on a regularbasis for updates and changes

  • Actively supportsthe events of the Peoples Committee, and as part of the HR team present atactivities.

  • Conversant with alladministrative tasks of the Hotel Nurse, including medical examinationsfor food handlers

GeneralResponsibilities:

  • Complete assignedtasks/projects within all HR functions

  • As a member of theHR team on call 24 hours a day for emergencies

  • Cooperate with the company to achievecompliance with FLS legislation

  • Take moral and legal responsibility forconducting themselves in their work so they do not expose themselves orothers to risk

  • Not undertake any activity whichcompromises their personal FLS, or the FLS of others

  • Report all accidents, dangerousoccurrences, or hazards, no matter how minor, to the supervisor or Headsof Department
