Oceans in the heart of Coogee Beach is a superbly located vibrant venue with amazing indoor and outdoor spaces overlooking the South Pacific Ocean, combined with shared style food, pizzas, craft beers, signature cocktails and a great wine list. We are seeking a vibrant chef to be the face of this great kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have extensive industry experience, and ideally will have experience with Mediterranean style cooking, pizza making and leading a small kitchen team.

Your day to day

We are looking for an individual who;

  • Is creative, can create a menu and signature dishes

  • Has a great energy and passion for food

  • Enjoys working with and leading a team

  • Thrives under pressure

  • Can develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Has excellent presentation skills

  • Is a great communicator

Essential Requirements;

  • Proven experience in a restaurant or bar kitchen

  • Higher education qualification in Culinary Arts/Commercial Cookery Certificate 3

  • Delivered strong results in previous roles

  • Experience in executing events

  • Exceptional leadership skills

  • Ability to work flexible hours
