Your day to day

Ideally you will be responsible for coordinating the functions and activities of the outlet.• You will assist in overseeing and directing all aspects of the outlet under the general guidance and direction of the Food & Beverage Manager, or his/her delegate and within the limits of the established InterContinental Hotels Group policies and procedures• Be the main person responsible for the overall running of the Restaurant operations in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. • Identify and anticipate guest needs by ensuring complete guest satisfaction. •Ensure the smooth running of the outlet to ensure highest guest satisfaction.•Promote all menu items and special promotions.•Ensure all opening and closing duties are followed according to the checklist.•Ensure that daily summary reports are made and any irregularities are reported to the Food & Beverage Director.•Ensure that all billings are correct.•Ensures food & general stores requisitions are done in good time.•Ascertain that the Chef is aware of the restaurant bookings•Supervise waiters assigned to that particular outlet. •Serve customers according to the set standards, by taking their orders, collecting and serving. •Ensure that effective communication is carried out with all colleagues

What we need from you

The ideal candidate must have:• Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related course.• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position within a 4 or 5 star hotel.• Excellent communication skills• Strong interpersonal skills• Excellent problem solving abilities
