Your day to day
As Area Director of Human Resources you'll provide leadership to the Regional NSW portfolio, driving the People Agenda and aligning with IHG Global and Australasia HR people strategy. This role provides strategic support to Hotel Leaders within the portfolio, maximising hotel talent and achieving business goals.This role will drive and improve organisational capability, systems and processes, and ensure winning becomes a habit through embedding high performance and driving a culture of high quality, process excellence and continuous improvement. As the world of work evolves, this key role supports leaders to build future capability, maintaining a lens on industry innovation and trends.The role is a key business partner to the Area General Manager and General Manager at their base hotel and provides strategic and business consult to the HR team within the Area as required.
What we need from you
To be successful in this role you’ll have demonstrated excellence in the HR field as well as outstanding internal stakeholder and owner management, understanding of brand delivery and the ability to impact and influence the overall business agenda and execution. You'll bring great knowledge and experience, be forward thinking and inspirational with a warm and approachable manner.Ideally you'll have a Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or related discipline, with a minimum of 5 yrs + experience in Human Resources Management role and will have worked in a multi-unit capacity within a recognised multi-national organisation. A solid understanding of Employee Relations practices and the ability to deal effectively with employees across diverse cultures and build management capability, will spell success in this role.
