Crowne Plaza London The City has an opportunity for an experienced Meeting & Events Sales Executive to join the sales team.

As a Meeting and Sales Executive your will focus on targeting and bringing new clients to the hotel, creating and sustaining a working environment that is pro-active in finding new business, whilst maximising the potential of existing users through effective account management.
You role will include the following:
Respond to all meeting and special event incoming enquiries within the standard response time and maintain on-going client liaison to establish all details and requirements for the event
Practice effective Diary management including booking qualification and selection and implement pricing strategy to maximize revenue opportunities
Ensure the enquiry process supports IHG service delivery standards.
Convert conference & event enquiries into confirmed bookings
Ensure all enquiries are recorded into Delphi in line with company standards
To actively refer and cross sell enquiries within the UK&I Managed Estate
Proactive chase of previous / dormant / lapsed enquiries/customers and liaison with IHG Sales teams for customer development opportunities
Client Relationship Management through responsibility for key accounts
Promote the IHG products and services
To be aware and promote current promotions and incentive programmes
To be aware of competitor pricing, product and demand in the local market
To be responsible for ensuring tasks are completed within a timely manner and in line with company standards
Preparation of Booking Event Orders, changes and details including accommodation
Conduct on site show-rounds for prospective and existing clients
Make Recommendation of menus and wines, equipment, setup, timings and all aspects relevant to the event.
As Meeting & Events Sales Executive you will have:
Previous experience in a similar role / property with experience of the MICE market
Strong experience in proactive sales in events/hospitality including account management
Strong leadership qualities
Self-starter, ambitious and driven to succeed with the ability to work to strict pressured deadlines
Creative and innovative in thinking and approach
Motivated by a passion for quality and great service delivery
A "can-do" attitude
Exhibitions / conference experience
Partnership working at both operational and strategic levels
Knowledge of Database management, CRM and management of email and direct mailings to different audiences
Be well presented with excellent social skills
