What we need from you

 Co-ordinate the day to day operations of the Banquet floor to obtain maximum profit and maximum guest satisfaction Greet function organizers on arrival and ensure that their requests are dealt with Ensure the details on the event order are delivered Follow up problems which may arise from event order and room allocations and rectify as soon as possible Maintain master file of banquet functions Supervise VIP functions as required Oversee all service and set ups Ensure rooms, quality of food and final set up are inspected regularly Ensure all equipment requests are fulfilled• Perform and fulfill any other duties and responsibilities as and when directed by the Director of Food & Beverage or her/his authorized delegate which is deemed necessary, relevant and related in the course of work.o Assist in planning for future staffing needs o Prepare and administer detailed induction program for new staffo Assist in maintaining a comprehensive, current and guest focused set of departmental standards and procedures and oversees their implementationo Ensure training needs analysis of Banquet Staff is carried out and training programmes are designed and implemented to meet needso Provide input for probation and formal performance appraisal discussions in line with company guidelineso Coach, counsel and discipline staff, providing constructive feedback to enhance performanceo Regularly communicates with staff and maintains good relationso Establish an efficient work schedule in accordance with labor lawso Approve leave, after considering hotel occupanciesFinancial Responsibilities• Works with superior in the preparation and management of the department’s budget. Duties include:o Assists in co-ordinating the preparation of the departmental annual budgeto Control and monitor departmental costs on an ongoing basis to ensure performance against budgetOccupational Health and Safety Responsibilities• Demonstrate Awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines and ensure your direct reports do the same• Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures• Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly• Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervisors of potential dangers• Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements
