At the moment we're looking for a Director of Marketing to join our dynamic team at InterContinental Jakarta Pondok Indah Hotel & Residences.
A high-profile and broad-ranging brief to manage and creatively implement the communication of the hotel marketing strategies, plans and activities to all key stakeholder groups within the business (Hotel Sales & Operations) in order to drive engagement with marketing programme. To bring to life marketing activities for stakeholders with sometimes limited marketing understanding and experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities — (Key Activities, maximum 5 activities)
Content Origination: Working with the IHG SEAK Marketing Team to gather and consolidate content relating to marketing plans & activities and to creatively communicate this through stakeholder presentations, marketing e-newsletters,
Stakeholder Meetings & Marketing Roadshows: To be the ‘voice’ and ‘face’ of the Hotel Marketing at key stakeholder meetings ( GM & Sales Inductions). To develop and work with IHG Marketing Managers and Sales & Marketing to develop and execute bi-annual marketing roadshows.
Marketing Information Centre: Manage and oversee the development and maintenance of a hotel/stakeholder helpdesk and information centre, providing a single point of contact for senior internal stakeholders, hotel operations & sales to access marketing programme information and resolve marketing-related queries and issues. To become a focal point for operational/hotel feedback to continuously improve the effectiveness marketing programme.
Country Marketing Forums : Maintain and oversee administration of the Hotel Marketing Forums managing communications with these stakeholders, attending Marketing meetings and liaising with Operations Support team to induct and develop new marketing initiative.
4-5 year’s experience in client-side marketing (working with agency/third party suppliers), creative/communications agency or communications/media environment
Highly creative and enthusiastic written and verbal communicator
Highly confident and effective presenter at all levels including senior management
Experience of and sensitivity to Indonesia business cultures;
Strong relationship-building and collaborative style
Passion for effective/creative communications
Extensive experience of communications (including electronic) applications; specifically MS Powerpoint (essential); Adobe Acrobat (preferred); Windows Movie-Maker or similar (preferred) and ability to creatively develop on and off-line content.
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
Experience of travel industry/hospitality or other multi-retail sector preferred (non-essential)
Linguistic skills/cultural sensitivity — must speak fluently the main language : English and Bahasa Indonesia
