Your day to day
As the Director of Sales you will lead the Sales and Events function for InterContinental, Hayman Island as well as leading the project management of the New Hotel Opening Sales Plan. Reporting to the Area Director of Commercial, post opening, you will develop and set revenue sales strategies for the Resort to maximise performance, drive RGI improvements, profitability and return on investment by directing sales activity and total revenue generation. You will ensure plans are implemented, results are monitored and sales goals through the regular sale of resort rooms, meeting rooms and food and beverage offerings.In this role you will also play an integral part in creating a positive and productive work environment; building, motivating and leading an effective team that is highly engaged and delivers results.
What we need from you
The ideal candidate will have experience both in hospitality, leadership and working in a large complex hotel with multiple revenue streams. You will have demonstrated capability in influencing and impacting business strategy and also have strong financial, analytical and business acumen partnered with and understanding of industry dynamics and trends. You will be a change agent with the ability to work alongside a team and collaborate with key stakeholders with a sense of urgency. Strategic thinking and the ability to explore new ways of working and be open minded on how we can drive the Resort forward will be highly advantageous. Demonstrated ability to work with guests and champion a brand is also a must.
