Sous Chef to join our talented Kitchen Team.

In partnership with our Executive Chef, you will

as our second in charge, assist in managing the daily kitchen operations of our

diverse Food & Beverage Operation including Locavore Restaurant, Epoche

Lounge Bar, The Conservatory, In-Room Dining and Conference and Events.

We require a strong kitchen leader with the

ability to inspire your colleagues and have the genuine care to train and

develop a high performing team. You will also strive for continued food excellence

and financial success for the department. You will assist in overseeing a

smooth operation that adheres to local health, safety and other compliance

concerns will be second nature for you.

Most importantly you will be a true brand and

local Hunter Valley ambassador in everything you do!

Qualifications

Our passionate

foodie must have:

  • A formal CommercialCookery Certification

  • A minimum of 2years’ experience as a Sous Chef or be a talented Chef de Partie ready totake your next step

  • Demonstrated performance in a hotel environment,preferably in the boutique or small hotel market

  • Strong skill baseand experience in a la carte, banqueting and buffet foodproduction

  • ‘Hands On’ style,who understands and can deliver on the expectations of a modern andcontemporary guest experience

  • Ongoing commitmentto quality and providing a truly unique experience to our guests

  • Possess greatattention to detail

  • Demonstratedperformance leading a successful team

  • Excellent timemanagement skills

  • Superiorcommunication skills

  • A working knowledgeand understanding of HACCP procedures, including the training ofcolleagues in procedures

  • Rostering, ordering& payroll knowledge will be highly regarded

  • High standard ofpersonal presentation

  • The flexibility towork various shifts on a rotating roster including evenings, weekends andpublic holidays

  • You must meet thelegal requirements to work in this country.
