A new opportunity has arisen for a Key Account Manager to join our team working remotely.
This position plays a vital role within the Commercial team, responsible for the strategy of the Corporate and Conference Agency Market. You will also increase awareness of the IHG UK&I Managed Estate hotels for the Conference, MICE and Transient Markets.
Delivery of the development of central sales and marketing strategy within the IHG UK&I Managed Estate
Focus on large events for the key conference destinations, developing new conference streams to the hotels
Conduct the required level of face to face sales appointments, telesales calls and ensure conversion levels of key pieces of business are achieved to ensure overall achievement of sales budgets for the group
Delivery and growth of conference revenue to meet and exceed agreed total sales budgets
Manage conversion of key opportunities with right business, right time, right price approach both personally and through liaising with the wider sales teams
Carry out comprehensive competitor analysis and be aware of future market risks and opportunities to ensure the hotel can recognise its opportunities to capture market share
To personally carry out at least 8 sales appointments per week, selecting those that have a high potential revenue generation
Develop, implement and drive a Large Event and Specialist Event and conference agency sales strategy with the Sales Director to achieve budgeted revenue targets
Key involvement in activities and networking events such as trade association events to maintain and generate revenue in the conference sector
What we are looking for
Contribute in developing the sales culture which demonstrates flair and passion with the customers and internal teams
Minimum of 3 years experience in a sales environment
Previous experience within the hospitality industry, ideally within a 4* or 5* hotel group or agency
Solid track record of sales achievement in the service or hospitality industry
Thorough understanding of channels to market to create revenue opportunities
Ability to influence, persuade and motivate teams to achieve and exceed sales budget
Entrepreneurial style of working to be both creative and innovative to attract new clients and accounts
Ability to work well under pressure, with minimal supervision and maintain high standards and attention to detail
