About us
Crowne Plaza is opening in Hobart! This is an exciting time to join this newly built full-service upscale hotel, with an expected opening date in Q1, 2020. The hotel will comprise of 235 guest rooms with multiple restaurants, a gymnasium and 9 versatile meeting rooms. The business mix will be varied with domestic & international leisure, Corporate & Government and MICE residential, day meetings and social events. Your day to day
Under the guidance of the Director of Strategy, Sales & Marketing (DOSSM), this role will effectively manage the reservations function of the hotel to ensure positive delivery of Guest Experience, maintain inventory balance and rate parity across channels. This role will support the DOSSM in managing revenue systems and effectively develop the capability of the Reservations Team and Front Office team members’ reservations capability. As the main point of contact for Group reservations, this position will also work closely with Sales & Marketing Operations, Crowne Meetings and Front Office teams.Focus on maintaining a high level of Reservations Accuracy through collaboration with the Front Office Manager and Front Office team (with assistance of policies & procedures) Maintain accurate profile management in conjunction with the Front Office Manager, by consistently monitoring and merging profiles for accurate statistical data, high IHG Rewards Club guest recognition scores and accuracy of reservations Actively manage all group business complying with IHG standards, maintaining accurate block management, ensuring wash factors are considered and actioned when appropriate to assist with accurate forecastingResponsible for management of rate loading, accuracy and tracking across systems with Revenue ManagerEnsure bookings are managed accurately to provide high data integrity when it comes to reporting on production, allotment materialization and value add success
What we need from you
· Bachelor’s degree qualifications in hospitality, hotel management or similar with at least 2-3 years Front Office and/or Reservations experience· Excellent written and verbal communication skills and competent in using both Opera Property Management System and integrated Point of Sale and channel management systems· Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to collaborate effectively with each department on groups and projects accordingly· Budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, calculations and variances are utilized frequently so strong numerical understanding will be key· Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workflow and workload individually and across the team YOU MUST HAVE THE RIGHT TO LIVE AND WORK IN AUSTRALIA
