Your day to day
Which is why we need you to join us as Area General Manager based at ANA Crowne Plaza Hiroshima. You'll have ambition, talent and obviously, some key skills because for this vital role, were looking for someone who can be a significant senior leader for our Japan team. We are currently looking for an Area General Manager to oversee a portfolio of 4 hotel properties located across Honshu. Reporting directly into the Head of Operations - Japan, this role will be responsible for the overall operation of the assigned portfolio whilst maximizing performance, profitability and return on investment by creating a positive and productive work environment and ensuring superior guest service and compliance with quality and operational standards. You will work closely with your General Managers and Owners of your portfolio in developing and monitoring the performance of financial and operational plans which support the overall objectives of the hotel and operating division whilst enhancing the assets of the hotel and ensuring brand loyalty. Whilst supporting the overall operation of 4 assigned hotels, you will also be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and driving performance of your base hotel.
What we need from you
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience as a General Manager within an international recognised hotel brand with demonstrated results within a competitive market. A proven track record in hotel operations within a multi-unit capacity is preferred, strong owner advocacy capability and a strong leadership style which is also engaging is essential. A strong understanding of the market and the ability to maximize profit is key to the success of this role. You will be fluent in spoken and written Japanese and English.
