As a result we have a rare opportunity for an Operations Manager, Hayman Village to join the leadership team on island for this exciting journey!
Your day to day

In this role you will be the driving force to make sure all colleagues joining the Resort team experience a fantastic residential and living experience. You will be a key driver of creating an environment that enables our colleagues to focus on their career achievements and maximise their performance within the Resort. The Operations Manager, Hayman Village, will be responsible for the business unit that is our colleague village and encompasses all the normal things you would expect from such a role; driving revenue, including Rooms, F&B and Activities and preparing and controlling the operating budget and financial plans with regards to labour costs and expenses. It will also oversee a team of colleagues working across Engineering, Housekeeping and Food & Beverage – to deliver five start service to the colleague’s residence, their home away from home while they are bringing the InterContinental Life alive for our guests. Your success in this space will include but not be limited to revenue generation, turn over and colleague engagement. With our colleagues as your guests, the customer satisfaction and experience within Hayman Village will be ultimately measured by retention of colleagues to their agreed tenure time. What we need from you
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years’ experience in an operations manager or operational department manager capacity underpinned by exposure to working in a complex hotel or resort environment. You will have demonstrated capability in influencing and impacting business strategy and strong financial, analytical and business acumen partnered with proven ability to deliver on set targets. Most importantly you will be a strong people leader and a change agent with the ability to work alongside a team and collaborate with key stakeholders. Strategic thinking, the ability to explore new ways of working and an open minded around how we can drive the Colleague Experience forward and deliver unrivalled lifestyle experiences will be highly advantageous. You must also have availability to work across a seven day rotating roster, inclusive of public holidays and meet the legal requirements to work in Australia without restrictions.
