Your day to day

Join the brigade in our banquets kitchen and deliver cuisine that will reenergise and refocus delegates across a range of culinary experiences including personalised breaks, themed dinners and interactive sessions.Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will be a motivated person with a positive attitude who has an interest to progress your culinary career and exposure to leadership, develop your skills, and work within varying styles of kitchen operations and different styles of cuisine, with your main focus being banqueting and a la carte.Your day to day will include;• Working with Senior Chefs in the Kitchen Brigade to grow your skills.• The opportunity to influence seasonal menus.• Prepare and present menu items showing variety and flair, whilst simultaneously achieving budget requirements.• Mentoring Junior Chefs in the Kitchen Brigade.• Supporting the Executive Chef to lead the Kitchen BrigadeBringing your talent and style to complete the personalised culinary events experience WOW events offers the Resorts guests.

What we need from you

You will have 2 to 3 years previous culinary experience, ideally with leadership exposure and in a hotel or luxury restaurant environment. You will have your commercial cookery certification and will have worked with a food safety system such as HACCP. You will also have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, enthusiasm to learn new things and above all, a can do attitude. You will be creatively focused and have a genuine passion for creating exceptional cuisine.In addition, you will have the flexibility to work a rotating roster including, late evenings, weekends and public holidays and Australian work rights is also a must. You must hold also hold a current Australian driver’s license.
