Set on an expansive
beachfront site 8km from the town centre and 600km from Muscat, the hotel
offers comprehensive business facilities with interpretation of Omani
architecture. This hotel features 213 deluxe rooms and suites overlooking the
scenic coastline, fully equipped fitness centre with kids and adult's pools,
choice for conference and meetings, also features two ballrooms etc.
We are currently looking
to recruit an Executive Chef who will be responsible for the
development and smooth operation of the kitchen with emphasis on quality,
presentation as well as leading the culinary team.
Your KeyResponsibilities will be:
Lead the Culinary team.
Manages all functions of theFood Production operations to achieve the optimum departmental profit
Achieve the optimum qualitylevel of food production and sanitation
Oversees special events andspecial food promotions
Makes recipes and maintainsup-dated and accurate costing of all dishes prepared and sold in the Foodand Beverage operation
Develops new dishes andproducts
Takes steps to ensure thatoutstanding culinary technical skills are maintained
Maintains comprehensive productknowledge including ingredients, equipment, suppliers, markets and currenttrends and make appropriate adjustments to kitchen operations accordingly
Controls and analyzes the levelof the following:
Issuing of food
Quality and presentation offood products
Condition and cleanliness offacilities and equipment
Develops with the Food andBeverage Manager popular menus offering guests value for money inaccordance with IHG guidelines
Sets Food Production goals anddevelops strategies, procedures and policies
Sets standards of all food andequipment purchases in accordance with IHG guidelines
Monitors local competitors andcompare their operation with the hotel Food and Beverage operation
Ideally, you have
extensive experience in a 4 or 5-Star Hotel, preferably within the Middle East.
Therefore, fluency in English is a must.
You will bring with you
strong experience in European & Asian cuisine. You are knowledgeable about
the HACCP procedures and regulations.
Team leader, you have
the ability to work with colleagues from different cultures.
You have experience in
recruitment and know how to manage employee relations challenges.
