The Location

Crowne Plaza Duqm is 8kms from the town centre and 600kms from Muscat, the

hotel offers comprehensive business facilities with interpretation of Omani

architecture. This hotel features 213 deluxe rooms and suites overlooking the

scenic coastline, fully equipped fitness centre with kid's and adult's pools,

choice for conference and meetings, also features two ballrooms, etc.

At the moment we're looking for a young and

energetic Cost Clerk/General Cashier to join our professional and

friendly team at Crowne Plaza Duqm.

The Role

As a Cost Clerk/General Cashier at Crowne Plaza Duqm, you will perform the

following functions and activities:

  • Stocks, picks and issuesmaterials based on purchase orders generated

  • Works with Receiving to ensurematerials get into inventory in a timely manner

  • Ensures items are labeled withrequired information to ensure traceability and“first-in-first-out” practices.

  • Compiles and maintains recordsof quantity and type of items or supplies stocked: Counts items orsupplies in stock and posts totals to inventory records, manually or usingcomputer.

  • Completes applicable recordswhen filling orders or moving inventory

  • Prepares reports, such asinventory balance and shortages

  • Communicates current status offilling orders and communicates any issues with filling orders

  • Prepares list of depleteditems

  • Collects remittance envelopesfrom safe drop box, ensuring that envelopes tally with those recorded inLogbook.

  • Counts money to verify amountsrecorded on envelops.

  • Prepares bank deposit ensuringtotal deposits tally with cash income.

  • Balance all House Banks daily;prepares daily Bank count for Income Auditor.

Qualificationsand Technical Skills

A minimum of 2 years in a 4 or 5 star hotel experience in a similar capacity is a must. Preferably worked with IHG properties and also should have wide experience in inventory, Menu costing, bar reconciliation and FBM system knowledge. English being the common language used between colleagues at Crowne Plaza Duqm,

basic knowledge of the Arabic will be an advantageous.
