looking for an Outlet Manager - BelgianBeer Cafe to join our energetic,

enthusiastic and passionate team at Crowne Plaza Dubai Festival City .

can enjoy Belgian good taste in Beer, Food and Atmosphere

This role, reports

directly to the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager of the Crowne Plaza Dubai

Festival City and as the Outlet Manager inBelgian Beer Cafe you will manage the

Restaurant and Bar operations achieving business objectives through customer focused

service delivery, promotes the desired work culture around the five core values

of Trust, Integrity, Respect, One Team and Service of the InterContinental

Hotels Group and the brand ethos.

The key responsibilitiesare:

  • Deliver Food and Beverage service of highstandard and in accordance with departmental standards and procedures

  • Develop departmental standards andprocedures to promote salesmanship, beverage creativity and profit

  • Communicates to his/her superior anydifficulties, guest comments and other relevant information

  • Delivers daily briefings and attends otherFood and Beverage meetings as scheduled

  • Delivers prepared training sessions inline with a departmental monthly calendar

  • Prepares for service by ensuring thedepartment’s:

-Grooming is impeccable

and in accordance with IHG® personal presentation standards

-Equipment is clean

-Equipment is sorted and

stored

-Glassware is polished

-Requirements for

special occasions are ready

-Music is on

-Lighting is on

-Outlet is ready for

service and guest comfort

  • Carries out effective service by ensuringall staff are aware of their role in:

-Greeting and seating

guests

-Explaining and

up-selling daily beverage specials

-Processing food orders

accurately

-Using trays and tray jacks

effectively

-Quickly taking food and

beverage orders

-Ensuring payment

methods are handled accurately

-Ensuring working areas

are cleaned and re-set quickly

-Ensuring the bar is

clean

-Regularly cleaning

ashtrays

-Conversing with Guests

in relation to the food and beverage products

  • Carries out effective beverage service byensuring:

-Beverages are up-sold

and regularly replenished, abiding by responsible alcohol service regulations

-Converse with Guests

about wine, advising the types and styles of wine, taking wine orders and

serving wine

-Promoting and selling

cocktails to guests

-Making and presenting

cocktails

-Coffee and tea is

served hot and in accordance with standard

  • Patron care standards are adhered to byensuring:

-Guests are advised on alcoholic beverages

-The strengths of alcohol is advised and guests are advised as to their

effect

-Compliance with legal provisions of local liquor codes

-Level of intoxication of guests is assessed and appropriate action

taken

-Advise guest on the hotel’s policy of smoking

-Monitor factors which interfere with the total experience of the guest

  • Cellaroperations are carried out including:

-Correct use of refrigeration system

-Effective operation of the post-mix syrups bulk dispense system

-Operating the beer reticulation system

-Adhering to stock control procedures

  • Takeappropriate action to resolve guest complaints

  • Requisitionbar items according to bar stocks

  • Trainbar attendant, wait help and bus help in basic beverage knowledge and beverage service

  • Completespillage report and submit to Food and Beverage manager at the Conclusion ofeach shift

  • Assistthe Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to source and review outlet musicians

  • Assistto promote the musicians

  • Designpromotional material which is aimed at increasing revenue, covers and profitfor the Bar with the approval of the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager

  • Work collaborativelywith the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager and Human Resources to ensure thedepartmental performance of staff is productive. Duties include:

-Assists in planning for future staffing needs

-Assists in recruiting in line with company guidelines

-Prepares and administers detailed induction program for new staff

-Assists in maintaining a comprehensive, current and guest focused set

of departmental standards and procedures and oversees their implementation

-Ensures training needs analysis of Bar staff is carried out and

training programmes are designed and implemented to meet needs

-Provides input for probation and formal performance appraisal

discussions in line with company guidelines

-Coaches, counsels and disciplines staff, providing constructive

feedback to enhance performance

-Regularly communicates with staff and maintains good relations

Financial Responsibilities

  • Works with superiorin the preparation and management of the department’s budget. Duties include:

-Assists in co-ordinating the preparation of the

departmental annual budget

-Controls and monitors departmental costs on an

ongoing basis to ensure performance against budget

-Conduct regular promotional activities aimed at

generating more revenue, covers and profit

Qualifications

Ideally, you'll have some or all of thefollowing qualifications and experience we're looking for:

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business,Hospitality Hotel Administration, or two to four years demonstrable workexperience in a leadership role, hotel operations, revenue management, orbusiness excellence.

  • Minimum 3 yearsof experience as a Restaurant/Bar Manager including one year as Bar and RestaurantManager.

  • Poses great leadershipskills & excellent communication skills.

  • Possess strong organizational,coordination, analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills

  • A dynamic team player
