We are currently looking for a Learning & Development Manager who

prides themselves on their ability to deliver extraordinary levels of training to

our colleagues.

You should have a strong and engaging personality, be flexible, able to work

under pressure, good at multitasking and very proficient in MS Office. You will

be responsible to develop our colleagues which will

help us achieve our goal of being number 1 for our colleagues, guests and

owners! Your role will include key responsibilities such as:

  1. Preparethe monthly Development plan in order to assure that Employee Development meetsthe ‘real’ needs of the business

  2. Conductoff-job training sessions for colleagues

  3. Assistin writing, creating and conducting in-house training programs or uses externalcompanies to meet identified development needs of the hotel.

  4. Organizeand monitor new colleagues departmental orientation, initial job training plan andthe off-job orientation

  5. Create,Develop and support Departmental Trainers in order to ensure a high quality ofon the job training.

  6. Hostthe monthly colleague development committee meeting.

  7. Facilitatethe cross-training process in the property in order to enhance their jobknowledge & competencies and to expose them to the operation of anotherdepartment

  8. Measureand monitor colleagues grooming, telephone standards, Guest feedback (ReviewPro), quality audits and Guest glitch reports.

  9. Complywith the hotel environmental, health and safety policies and procedures

  10. Provide support in Employee Engagementactivities

Qualifications

Ideally,

the candidate should possess a minimum of 3 years’ of relevant experience within

a senior capacity in the Hotel Industry (5-star hotel preferable).You

should be enthusiastic, spontaneous, & emphatic. Will bring with you strong

interpersonal skills and excellent command of written and spoken English is

required. Additional language is an additive advantage. You should have

bachelor or master’s degree in Human Resources.

The ideal candidate will be result oriented and a self-motivator along with a

positive attitude. You have the ability to think laterally and analytical,

display a high level of integrity and have the ability to identify, impact and

influence others. You are a strong team player, enthusiastic and flexible.
