Overallresponsible for : Under the general guidance and supervision ofthe Revenue Manager conduct

vigilant and appropriate yield management and actively to contribute towards

revenue generation through effective management. This position is a vital

position to the Sales and Marketing function by providing current, accurate

information on both the internal reservation situation and the external climate

with which the hotel operates. Promotes the desired work culture around the

five core values of Trust, Integrity, Respect, One Team and Service of the

InterContinental Hotels Group and the brand ethos.

KeyDuties & Responsibilities :

  • Coordinating the preparation of the departmental annualbudget

  • Controls and monitors departmental costs on an ongoingbasis to ensure performance against budget

  • Participates in preparation and planning of sales forcegoals and objectives

  • Monitors, analyze and report variations from the budget

  • Assists with ratio analysis

  • Contributes to pricing decisions and sales mix

  • Inspire others to excel by clearly communicatingbusiness values and direction, recognizing good performance and providingmanagerial support

  • Provides input for probation and formal performanceappraisal discussions in line with company guidelines

  • Coaches, counsels and disciplines staff, providingconstructive feedback to enhance performance

  • Regularly communicates with staff and maintains goodrelations

  • Prepares efficient work schedules in line with laborcode

  • Assists in planning for future staffing needs

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with allinternal customers and guests in order to exceed their needs

  • Take action to address these needs in order to exceedtheir expectations

  • Create a positive hotel image in every interaction withinternal and external customers

  • Adhere to hotel brand standards

  • Maintain a high level of product and service knowledgein order to explain and sell services and facilities to guests

  • Maintain knowledge of special programs and events inthe hotel in order to recognize and respond to guests needs

  • Implements procedures which enhance the guestexperience

  • Maintain current Hotel information to be able toprovide information

  • Understands and takes into account the global nature ofthe business; works effectively with colleagues from different viewpoints,cultures and countries

  • Consider and comment on economic, political, socialactivity and trends which are likely to influence business outcomes

  • Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational,health and safety legislation, policies and procedures

  • Analyze booking patterns and market trends

  • Produce relevant reports as and when required
