About us

We have an opportunity for an Oracle EPM System Administrator (Support) to join our support team to support the existing and future demands of our stakeholders to deliver on IHG’s strategy.

The role involves the management and administration of IHG’s Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) suite of tools to deliver timely and quality financial and non-financial data in a multi-platform environment used by Corporate, Regional and External users as well as supporting the Hotel’s reporting requirements.

IHG’s Global Finance BI & Information Delivery team successfully partners with key / senior interfaces to include the Global Finance BI & Information Delivery team, Global Tech Business Partners (EPM Development team), Infrastructure teams and key Third Party vendors (Oracle).

Your day to day

  • Managing and administering Global Finance’s EPM systems and applications in a multi-platform environment. Applications include both on premise, Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Financial Data Management (FDM) and Financial Reporting as well as Oracle’s new cloud technologies, Oracle EPBCS, Oracle PCMCS

  • Executing the data and user security governance policy and associated controls, ensuring SOX/SOC compliance and a clean audit. Maintaining systems documentation in line with established IHG IT standards

  • Actively participating in both Global Tech led EPM and internal team projects to deliver new tools or processes. Attending project meetings and providing technical expertise and direction. Completing regression testing. Supporting the migrations to QA and subsequently leading the migration to Production and future stabilisation.

  • Providing 2nd level support to the Global Finance IDT team including the provision of 24 x 7 cover and escalating issues to Global Tech, the data centre or Oracle as required.

  • Continuing to drive a high performing EPM Support team.

What we need from you

You must have strong systems administration and programming acumen underpinned by in-depth knowledge of Oracle’s EPM suite of tools as used by IHG.

Experience of ETL tools (ideally Informatica) will be advantageous.

With strong communication, relationship building and influencing skills you will have experience of working in Global teams.
