Your day to day
As a Hotel Operations Finance Manager you will be responsible for delivering financial insight to the finance business partners to support Corporate FP&A and Hotel Operations teams in driving performance and value to IHG.
Key responsibilities will include:
Providing day to day financial management and analytics to support the respective Finance business partners and business stakeholders at regional level.
Managing the delivery of Hotel Operations activities including Hotels P&L budgeting and forecasting, target setting and reporting for Hotel Winning Metrics, performance testing and hotel capital reporting.
Coordinating the quarterly business review and planning, budgeting and forecasting processes in support of the Finance business partners, managing the preparation and review of budgets and forecasts.
Preparing the financial performance reviews, identifying risks and opportunities and offering solutions.
Being flexible to provide ad-hoc reports and analysis, including scenario modelling to support decision making.
Building strong working relationships with Finance business partners and collaborate to deliver high quality, relevant insight.
Recommending process changes to improve IHG's financial performance and financial controls.
Acting as an escalation point for audit queries.
What we need from you
The successful candidate will have a BA or BS Degree in Finance or a relevant field of work and will ideally hold a professional finance qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent).
You would also ideally have experience as a senior finance analyst in a global organisation, including experience with operational planning, budgeting and forecasting processes, management reporting, scenario analysis and modelling skills, with preference for leisure and hospitality or similar single unit, multi-revenue stream operations.
You will also need to have:
A good understanding of trading metrics and key drivers which impact operations revenue and cost.
Ability to independently manage and deliver outputs, including managing stakeholders' expectations and junior colleagues.
Proficient user of Oracle, Essbase, reporting tools, Excel, PowerPoint.
Ability to prioritise and to operate effectively in a fast moving, global environment with tight deadlines.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Preferably, exposure to the culture and ways of working in the supported region(s).
For this role you will be required to work 11-7pm.
