an Assistant Housekeeper, you are responsible for the operational efficiency of
all housekeeping areas and rooms. You ensure a great service delivery of those
areas within budgeted guidelines.
Supervise the implementation of housekeeping standardsand procedures in relation to:
Public Areas cleaning – Hotel parking & exteriors
Recommended changes to these standards and trainingneeds on an ongoing basis
Maintain a current and thorough knowledge of allhousekeeping systems
Can supervise the Opening and closing of the shift and ensure effectiveshift hand over
Distribution and collection of keys
Management of all incoming and outgoing calls
Perform Room allocations
Perform Room inspections
Prioritize arrival rooms
Liaise with Front Office for guest and hotelrequirements
Ensure guest valet is processed and delivered in atimely manner
Co-ordinate special projects (eg site rooms, vermincontrol, window and carpet cleaning, room inventories)
Manage all special requests made by guests
Management of lost property for the hotel
Ensure you have complete knowledge of room types,layouts and facilities
Manage storage areas
Maintain adequate stock levels
Complete stocktakes as require
Maintain stock levels
Conducts shift briefings to ensure hotel activitiesand operational requirements are known
Take appropriate action to resolve guest complaints
Perform tasks as directed by the Manager in pursuit ofthe achievement of business goals
Bachelor Degree in Hotel Management
Experiencewithin similar role (preferably in a hotel of similar size)
Mustspeak fluent English and French. Other languages are a plus.
Gainunderstanding of the departmental goals and financial targets and support yourLine Manager to achieve these targets
