IHG Americas’ Regional Corporate Office is centrally
located at the beautiful Ravinia Complex just outside Atlanta’s Perimeter
(I-285), offering a convenient commute from all areas of Metro Atlanta. In
addition to being easily accessible from all major highways, the complex
provides a free shuttle service between the office, the nearby Perimeter Mall
and MARTA train station for alternative commuting options during business

business and directly support the delivery of our Brand programs. We are

Management team is the commercial architect of how we buy from the different
supply markets. The team has global
responsibility for suppliers and supply markets with several billion dollars of
global spend annually. Our category team
have an intimate knowledge of the suppliers and coupled with an understanding
of business requirements they lead the development of sourcing strategies which
deliver benefits to our owners and corporate functions through leveraging
scale, managing risk and igniting innovation.
We have roles in our
Food & Beverage Procurement (Hotel Operations) team; who are responsible
for leading and implementing the category strategies determining how we
approach the suppliers and supply markets.
Our category managers are skilled in the category management and
sourcing process, have experience of delivering end to end category strategies
and may have some experience in Food, Beverages, Engineering, Energy, Linens,
Consumables and Operating items for our hotels.
Direct category experience is not essential as we are looking for
strategic thinkers who can work on a global scale and develop the multi-year
category strategy to deliver cost savings, security of supply, quality and
operational efficiency to our owners.
Within the Food &
Beverage category we work with large GPO providers who are responsible for the
sourcing of F&B products. The role of Category Manager F&B would be to
work in alignment with these providers to develop and implement a wider long
term global strategy.
This role is not a
food sourcing role. This is a strategic role looking at total model.
Develop and implement strategicmultiyear category plans for a range of differentsub-categories
Build a deep understanding ofsupply markets and the implications for IHG
Develop and execute a pipelineof projects to drive TCO, innovation, continuous improvement and costbenefits to IHG and Owners
Successful execution ofsourcing, demand management and continuous improvement projects to deliverbusiness objectives
Provide commercial challenge tobusiness stakeholders typically up to VP level
Develop and deliver successfulsupplier relationship management plans
Education - Bachelors’ Degree in Business, Economics, Finance,
Statistics, or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of
education and work-related experience.
Experience - Previous experience of Food & Beverage Supply
Chain, either GPO, distribution or Procurement, is strongly preferred
Technical Knowledge and Experience -
Proficient inthe Category Management methodology and procurement processes
Track recordof developing and implementing Category Plans
Categorymanagement experience in a global organization
Demonstratedability to analyze and provide insight on supply markets
Strongprocurement technical skills, legal knowledge and RFI/P leadership
Experience ofmanaging complex supplier relationships
Capable ofleading and being part of matrixed team in a project environment
Goodnegotiation and influencing skills
Effectiveproject management skills
