Your day to day
IHG is in need of an experienced Digital Content Strategist to assist the web design team with the design and production of website and mobile app projects. The strategist will be responsible for evaluating, cataloging, and tracking content needs and inputs, ensuring compatibility between designs and content management systems (CMSs). The strategist will serve the point person for leading all content streams for the engagements. He/She will work with multiple stakeholders, including business teams, brand teams, production/delivery, front-end and back-end technology. The idea candidate has strong organization, communication, and presentation skills.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Support and execute content strategy for website and/or app design and content.
Work with cross-functional teams to Identify and synthesize business and user insights to define content approach and provide content recommendations that align with business goals.
Maintain an intimate knowledge of our content management systems, how they integrate with our digital channels, and how best to use them to create an optimal site and content experience.
Asses the scope of an upcoming project and manage partner teams’ expectations around process, deliverables, and timelines.
On projects, create and manager timelines for content related inputs and deliverables.
Produce deliverables such as: content audit, content inventory, CMS map, copy deck, etc.
Further improve and educate teams on the content strategy methodology.
What we need from you
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Strong analytic thinker to assess and strategize.
Understanding of SEO and ecommerce best practices.
Strong attention to detail and comfortable with Excel.
Understanding of a user-centered design process.
Experience working with a large-scale website or network of sites and/or complex content management systems.
Experience working in an agile environment.
