Your day to day
For this vital role, were looking for someone who can bring together revenue management expertise and credibility within the RM community at IHG and/or elsewhere and business design skills to design new capabilities for IHG based on input from stakeholders, the revenue management strategy and ongoing RM needs. The role is 70% collaboration (working sessions, design workshops, interviewing stakeholders, reviewing stakeholder strategies and decisions, etc) and approx. 30% desk-based (documenting process designs, capabilities, estimating business benefit/revenue uplift, identifying business rules, data & reporting needs, process changes, and overall change and training needs for new capabilities/processes). The successful candidate will work in a team of 6 to share ownership of all IHG corporate and operational stakeholders, ensure all necessary Business Design materials are available and catalogued appropriately in the approved library, and publish artifacts to sister teams awaiting detailed strategy decisions to operationalize. The successful candidate will ensure updates to Capabilities, Business Requirement Documents and Business Processes, and any other artifacts captured by the Business Design team decision-making workstream, are made in alignment with the Business Design change control and governance process. This role will support the delivery of business decisions from Business Design to the greater programme, and manage the decision delivery meeting series, as well as managing progress reporting to the PMO and executive-level reporting.
What we need from you
Some college/degree/higher learning post-high school 10+ years in operational revenue management or hospitality roles Hospitality Management MBA ideal (but would suit undergrads of majors such as Information Science, or Human & Organisational Development Essential Skills, Experience, Industries, etc. Hospitality or other industry known for good RM practices (e.g. airlines, car rental, online travel agencies, etc); Articulate, clear communication style (verbal and written) concise, thoughtful and considered Curiousity, eagerness to learn Self-Motivated Confident, positive attitude; modest and open to input from others Adaptability Desirable Skills, Experience, Industries, etc. Revenue Management experience (in hotels or elsewhere) is essential; Attention to Detail Time management Organizational Skills Critical Thinking Interest in how hotels and travel industry companies run
