The Revenue Transformation Manager brings together revenue management expertise and credibility within the RM community at IHG and/or elsewhere and business design skills to design new capabilities for IHG based on input from stakeholders, the revenue management strategy and ongoing RM needs. The role is 70% collaboration (working sessions, design workshops, interviewing stakeholders, reviewing stakeholder strategies and decisions, etc) and approx. 30% desk-based (documenting process designs, capabilities, estimating business benefit/revenue uplift, identifying business rules, data & reporting needs, process changes, and overall change and training needs for new capabilities/processes).
The successful candidate will work in a team of 6 to share ownership of all IHG corporate and operational stakeholders, ensure all necessary Business Design materials are available and catalogued appropriately in the approved library, and publish artifacts to sister teams awaiting detailed strategy decisions to operationalize. The successful candidate will ensure updates to Capabilities, Business Requirement Documents and Business Processes, and any other artifacts captured by the Business Design team decision-making work stream, are made in alignment with the Business Design change control and governance process. This role will support the delivery of business decisions from Business Design to the greater program, and manage the decision delivery meeting series, as well as managing progress reporting to the PMO and executive-level reporting.
Your day to day
Design and manage all internal and external global departmental communication. Responsible for creating, maintaining and executing the global departmental communication plan and related activities that result in consistent messaging and timely dissemination of information in order to increase awareness of the department activities and enhance organizational understanding. Direct communication efforts with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messages are being received by shared audiences.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop the annual communications plan, including individual components addressing identified key audiences. Ensure that plan meets organizational communication goals and that communications are consistent in tone of message, look and feel of communication, and adherence to overall Company standards.
Manage communications and content development within assigned department to ensure a cohesive communications strategy regarding all global Revenue Management initiatives and ongoing structure of the division.
Proactively develop communications bulletins, team space content, announcements, news stories, plans or strategies to disseminate key departmental structure, initiatives, programs and events to designated groups of employees and stakeholders.
Create and maintain a global Revenue Management communications portal to increase employee engagement.
Manage Operations Council activities to ensure information is communicated and milestones are met.
Manage and maintain presentation content for all global Revenue Management teams.
Improve employee engagement through the execution of impactful and relevant internal meetings.
Create, maintain and promote departmental communications collateral templates, including PowerPoint templates, email templates, memo templates, etc.
What we need from you
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.
5-7 years progressive work related experience with demonstrated technical proficiency related to the position.
Technical Skills and Knowledge
Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing information to global Revenue Management Team, and other internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated excellence in preparing clear and concise written business communications for types and levels of audiences.
Ability to influence and communicate with all levels of management and employees.
Demonstrate ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential information and crisis management issues.
Possess enhanced skills related to organizing, planning and executing events from conception through implementation.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks/clients as required.
Demonstrated ability to maintain a consistent, high quality customer-focused orientation, including providing clear, accurate information; explaining procedures or materials or providing supplemental information; anticipating problems or questions.
Demonstrated solid teamwork and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with team members and senior management.
Highly proactive and flexible competency levels with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with global Revenue Management teams.
