Your day to day

IHG is looking for someone to lead the analytics efforts across omnichannel revenue performance along with these additional exciting duties;

  • Analyze and explain business trends and seek out areas of growth opportunity

  • Build stories to face senior leaders. Serve as the primary contact for our international regional teams to help them drive performance.

  • Ensure data structures support business and reporting needs.

  • Create a vision for cross channel and Omnichannel learnings to drive ROI.

  • Further build out reporting on Tableau to scale reporting and quicken insight discovery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Through analytical and statistical methods, develop key customer insights and metrics in support of key business programs for the distribution channels organization (Digital, Call Center, Online Travel Agents, Global Distribution Systems)

  • Build stories of channel performance. Lead target setting and revenue performance reviews.

  • Develop new methodologies to track user behavior across channels to drive better user experience. This includes cross channel and omnichannel methodologies.

  • Oversee design of data to ensure reporting and insight needs can be achieved

  • Lead conversion of reporting from Excel to Tableau

  • Build and maintain analytical capabilities roadmap. Help lead projects for data innovation from a business standpoint

  • Coach, train and develop team members (3 analysts). Act as an advisor to staff to help meet business goals and analytics roadmap

  • Help lead remote reporting team to support channel reporting in addition to onsite team

What we need from you

Education –

Bachelors Degree in Statistics, Business, Mathematics, Economics or other quantitative discipline or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.

Experience –

6+ years progressive work related experience with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines/processes related to the position including relational decision-support databases (preferably a data-warehousing environment), along with demonstrated quantitative/computational skills, communicating, and running an analytics program.

Technical Skills and Knowledge –

  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing information to senior management and staff and ability to prepare and deliver solid presentations to both small and large groups.

  • Good communication strategy demonstrated for working with off-shore and remote teams.

  • Experience with statistical software (SAS or similar) or on-line analytical processing tools.

  • Must be proficient in the use of business software products such as Excel, Microsoft Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Tableau

  • Strong at finding insights and inspiring the business to act upon them

  • In depth knowledge of data structure, business intelligence tools, and data visualization

  • Demonstrated knowledge of internal business drivers and metrics and trends to be analyzed.

  • Demonstrated expertise in developing analysis and using data to create meaningful and actionable insights.

  • Demonstrated project management experience in organizing, planning and executing projects from conception through implementation.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with rapid turn around and high quality deliverables required.
