For this vital role, were looking for someone who is responsible for turning business strategy into products and experiences within our Digital Channel, which includes responsive web and native app. Collaboration among business stakeholders, analysts, developers, and functional subject matter experts is critical, ultimately creating create holistic product solutions for customers/stakeholders across our digital touch points.
Your day to day
Lead development and implementation of product strategy through a deep understanding of customer insights, market and technology trends, competition, and distribution capabilities. This should manifest itself in a road map of initiatives including new features and functionality as well as enhancements to existing products.
Influence stakeholders and senior management on priority of road map initiatives, using data-driven decisions.
Accountable for product line Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as traffic, next step conversion, and platform performance.
Create sound business cases around all new products based on needs assessment and projected feasibility.
Incorporate a customer-centric approach to all development efforts.
Engage appropriate business stakeholders and product support teams early in the process to capture full perspective in creating œbest fit products.
Measure product performance and lead performance improvement initiatives.
Identify and understand the performance drivers and set up ongoing diagnostics and monitoring capabilities.C
Communicate product information, including product road map, specifications, value proposition, training tools and competitive information to various stakeholders.
Provide status and performance updates to Digital Channel peers and senior management.
Monitor the changing competitive landscape to identify relevant market solutions, web and native app features and consumer research needs.
Manage small team consisting of one Product Manager
What we need from you
Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experienced
4 to 5 years progressive work-related experience, including 3 years experience in product management, product development, marketing or operations, with demonstrated travel industry experience and understanding of multiple disciplines/processes related to the position.
Technical skills and Knowledge
Understanding of the digital user experience and variances across international markets
Familiarity with complex, highly scalable web and mobile platforms and technologies
Experience across product development lifecycle: discovery, documentation, design, prototyping
Effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing information to stakeholders, vendors, and senior management with a demonstrated ability to present new concepts, research findings, and business outcomes
Experience in formal requirements methodologies such as vision, scope, context, use cases, etc.
Project management experience, including organizing, planning and executing projects from conception through implementation; attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks/projects
Analytical skills and ability to perform research and use insights to make effective decisions
Knowledge of travel industry, including business models, distribution channels, guest journey etc.
Ability to adapt strategies and tactics to fast moving, rapidly evolving marketplace Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Graduate coursework or degree a plus
