Your day to day

Key Accountability

Aggregate and rationalize marketing product needs and develop 1-3 year product strategy to enable IHG’s Marketing requirements.

Stay current on marketing products to enable the business to evolve in today’s rapidly changing environment.

Lead, create and implement long term strategy for IHG marketing systems, including application integrations and processes, to drive marketing effectiveness.

Will be responsible for Marketing Products, related to owned and paid media marketing platforms.

Identify, Define and refine departmental standards, methodologies, and processes to ensure the efficient development and implementation of marketing system(s).

Lead the management implementation methodology, software solution, implementation scope, schedule; problem resolution, and general project management

Direct phases of the customer segmentation implementation process including analysis, design configuration/construction, testing, release and training oversight for internal stakeholders

Own responsibility of adequate information flow between product, technology, marketing teams within and outside the organization. Communicate team’s project activities and accomplishments upward and outward throughout organization.

Oversee the development and utilization of latest methodologies, competitive intelligence, marketing technology and product knowledge in order to create best in class marketing platform.

  • Work with customer data & insights teams to ensure marketing needs are met.

  • Work with channels to enable best in class marketing system effectiveness.

  • Inform marketers and channels as to the latest product enablement's to enhance and support the business.

  • Work with GT to set technology roadmap.

What we need from you

Educational Attainment:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Marketing or other quantitative discipline or an equivalent of education and work related experience.

Critical Expertise & Experience:

  • 8-10 years progressive work related experience with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines/processes related to the position including marketing systems, data processing in a multi-platform environment

  • 5+ years coordinating and managing projects and/or supervising marketing and IT personnel. In-depth knowledge of marketing strategy (including development of structure, policies and guidelines) desired

  • Experience in engaging cross functional working partnerships in a global organization

  • Strong decision making, influencing/consensus building and analytical skills with clear understanding of impact on IHG revenue goals and bottom-line

  • Strong leadership, team building, interpersonal and communication skills

Technical Skills & Knowledge:

  • Demonstrated effective project management experience in organizing, planning and executing large-scale projects from conception through implementation.

  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing and explaining project information and status to clients, vendors, senior management and staff.

  • Strong marketing automation strategy and implementation experience with CRM tools (such as work flow management, campaign management, CMS, DAM and DMP).

  • Good understanding of direct marketing and proven track record in handling projects from design to execution.


Work is typically performed in a normal office environment.
