Your day to day

  • Develop research-based marketing strategies and product amenity and service standards, annual marketing plans and 3-5 year strategic plans to strengthen the product positioning that support the brand's global marketing objectives.

  • Serve as champion and guardian of the brand and drive growth and development of the brand. This role will be accountable for the brand's overall performance through the development and implementation of intermediate (3-5 years) marketing strategies and programs to support the Company's overall business objectives.

  • Direct the design, prioritization, and implementation of all marketing activities to ensure increased consumer demand, maintaining a rolling 3-year strategic horizon and develop or amend strategies based on market trends and research, related to distribution; brand integrity; standards; marketing support systems and product innovation.

  • Serve as the primary brand resource to initiate and build cross-departmental or divisional strategies for product consistency, improvements and overall success. The Brand Marketing Director will also work with Global Brand Marketing to develop international brand-specific programs to help drive the business on a global basis.

  • Monitoring and maintaining integrity of the brand through ad hoc site visits to verify product standards and parameters through potential changes to existing amenity and service standards.

  • Partner with brand counterparts to identify brand creep and avoid brand infringement and assist Franchise Development in the achievement of product distribution targets by participating in major sales presentations and support efforts to target current and potential franchisees.

  • Analyze data and build recommendations to maximize knowledge of current and future consumer needs, product and brand awareness, price/value perceptions, consumer and customer trends.

  • Manage a formal communication line appropriate to both existing and potential franchisees which celebrates the success and strength of the brand, addresses common operational issues, provides knowledge of competitive practices, and aids in the resolution of noncompliance with standards.

What we need from you

Qualifications and Technical skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.

  • 10+ years progressive marketing experience with demonstrated proficiency in product management in a global, multi-brand environment, as well as 5 to 7 years managing teams and or significant complex projects.

  • Effective and or persuasive verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing information to clients, vendors, senior management and staff. Demonstrated knowledge of marketing principles and strategic planning process.

  • Ability to develop effective brand marketing and channel marketing strategies in a multi-unit hotel or other travel/service environment preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret research data on consumer preferences and market trends. Demonstrated experience in effectively managing a marketing program budget and in effectively allocating budget resources to maximize impact.

  • MBA preferred.

  • Other Information - Ability to travel to meet business objectives (15-20%).
