For this vital role, were looking for someone who can manage the development and deployment of multiple application development projects and teams including deployment on complex multi-platform software systems within schedule, cost and quality requirements. Ensure functional correctness and adherence to technical standards of application development. Manage project teams in the planning, designing, developing, testing and deploying of complex application software systems.
Your day to day
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage the development and deployment of projects to ensure products are developed in accordance with specified technical requirements, schedules and budgets. This includes high-level status and budget reporting, scope management, risk mitigation, and quality checks of project deliverables. Coordinate and revise schedules as required to provide a high degree of client satisfaction. Communicate and coordinate with technical integration team on infrastructure issues. Establish, develop and maintain relationships with client management and maintain a strong working knowledge of the assigned clients business functions, objectives, and management concerns. to ensure accurate translation of client requirements into technical specifications. Establish I.T. priorities, schedules and resource allocation. Estimate project staffing, timelines, project costs and budget. Ensure functional correctness and adherence to technical standards of application development, to include implementation of new software, new modules, application upgrades, customizations, enhancements, re-engineering of systems and business process engineering. Evaluate software for clients as well as I.T. internal. Ensure proper support of delivered applications by providing recommendations, high-level planning and management of the transition process. Monitor methodology, tools, templates, standards, policies, procedures, and quality assurance processes. Participate in project post mortems. Lead assigned function within established budgetary and manpower plans, and establish performance standards, and operating procedures. Participate in creation of department staffing and capital budgets. Coach and develop team members; hire, fire, assess, discipline, document performance, recommend salary and classifications changes. Act as an advisor to subordinate managers or staff to help meet established schedules and/or resolve technical or operational problems.
What we need from you
Education Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience. Experience Typically requires 5-8 years progressive relevant IT experience with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines/technologies/processes related to the position, including development, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale integrated systems across multiple hardware and software platforms. Technical Skills and Knowledge Demonstrated project management experience in organizing, planning and executing large-scale development projects from conception through implementation. Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing and explaining technical information to clients, vendors, senior management and staff. Demonstrated ability in leading work teams and or technical staff. Strong technical knowledge of computer languages (including database management systems), applications, operating systems, terminology, communications, networks, and hardware capabilities. Demonstrated knowledge of system integration issues between diverse platforms. Demonstrated experience and knowledge in computing architectures and implementation of networked computing structures. Decision making responsibilities This position has significant impact for assigned IT development projects in identifying technical and application solutions and risk factors. This position has moderate impact on the companys ability to achieve revenue and cost targets as influenced by information technology. This position also has moderate impact on resource allocation, project costs, schedule and quality levels for assigned area.
