Your day to day

For this vital role, were looking for someone who can be responsible for providing advanced analytical support for Guest Reservations Services & Customer Care (GRSCC) groups in order to improve operational and financial efficiencies and effectiveness, proactively support CRO operational teams through data analysis and mining to identify and evaluate business trends, new initiatives, and changes to processes and programs, employ statistical analyses to identify business drivers, and quantify performance and financial impact, including calculating ROI for business changes, and developing models to predict ROI for new initiatives, and present key findings and recommendations to stakeholders and senior leadership; additional responsibilities include project management which entails developing roadmaps and timelines with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to support business initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - (Key Activities) Develop data mining and analytical research to uncover business trends, evaluate operating efficiency and effectiveness, assign causality, track results, highlight concerns, and summarize data for upper management and operations teams. Apply data analysis techniques to uncover opportunities for GRSCC. to improve efficiency and drive incremental revenue to hotels. Develop techniques to measure the business, predict incremental revenue and return on investment of proposed changes and new initiatives for all groups within GRSCC . Perform periodic and ad hoc research of business scenarios using various database, financial system, data warehouse, and internal resources. Present analytical findings to upper management and operations team to measure initiatives, provide business insights, and improve results. Apply analytical techniques to one or more disciplines. May perform statistical analyses and create accurate charts, tables, and graphs in correct format and within established time frames as required. Select and use appropriate software to effectively analyze data. Compile and analyze information. Effectively communicate findings and recommendations to appropriate staff. Manage the development of long-range plans for assigned group, ensuring that the overall direction of plans reduce cost and drive revenue and system contribution growth. Apply project management skills to develop and manage strategic initiatives involving cross-functional teams. Develop and maintain key assumptions (e.g., conversion rates, ADR, handle tme, etc) for business plan pro forma data modeling to be used in decision making Manage metric reporting and the development of value added performance and management reporting. Manage ongoing reports: daily, weekly, monthly, annual.

What we need from you

Education Masters degree in a business related field Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, and Statistics or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience. Experience Four to seven years progressive work experience, with emphasis on business and marketing analysis. Preference will be given to those with demonstrated expertise in the relevant business areas supported, and demonstrated ability to lead project teams. Technical Skills and Knowledge Demonstrated strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), specifically with Excel advanced functions and MS Access. Demonstrated proficiency in enterprise reporting and analysis tools. Preferably experience with Business Objects, SAS, Essbase. Demonstrated knowledge of a wide range of statistical techniques including multiple regressions, time series forecasting, decision tree, and cluster analysis. Demonstrated statistical and financial analysis skills. Demonstrated understanding of economic principles. Demonstrated project management experience in organizing, planning, and executing initiatives and operations analyses from concept through implementation. Demonstrates clear, concise, and succinct communication skills, including adapting both verbal and written communication to the needs and level of user. Demonstrated ability to maintain a consistent, high quality customer-focused orientation, including providing clear, accurate information; explaining procedures or materials or providing supplemental information; anticipating problems or questions. Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to use the results of analysis to draw effective conclusions. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently, and to perform concurrent tasks that require technical and functional competence.
