Your day to day
Work as part of a team of analysts providing analytical support related to IHG global booking distribution call center channel.
Use quantitative analysis to produce insights that directly lead to business growth.
Leverage story telling capabilities to influence business partners to take action on insight based recommendations. Produce insightful deep dives into performance of IHG Call Center operations, Call Center programs and overall Call Center Channel performance.
Communicate channel performance outcomes with channel leaders.
Summarize complex concepts in easy to understand terms so business activities can be taken.
Develop and deliver presentations to channel leaders
Drive channel performance outcomes by driving insights and performing adhoc analysis.
Implement new statistical or other mathematical methodologies as needed for learning models or data analysis
Use data mining software, forecasting models, and statistical/computational models to achieve analytical objectives such as maximizing revenue and channel mix
What we need from you
Bachelor's in a relevant field of work in business, economics, or statistics, or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.
4 to 7 years progressive work related experience in relational decision-support databases and consulting in the analytics discipline with demonstrated proficiency and understanding in one or more functions related to the position.
Technical Skills and Knowledge
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, for translating quantitative information into actionable business insights for senior management and staff.
Required demonstration of designing and developing metrics, reports and analysis to drive key business decisions. Required knowledge of relational databases with demonstrated technical experience querying using SQL.
Demonstrated proficiency developing queries in order to transform data from relational and flat-file database structures.
Required knowledge of data visualization techniques and use of data visualization tools (Tableau, Business Objects, etc) preferred.
Knowledge of statistical concepts and demonstrated use of statistical software (SAS and/or R) a plus.
