Your day to day
JOB OVERVIEW Under the general guidance and supervision of the Banquet Sales Manager and within the established policies and procedures, oversees and implements all activities within her area of responsibility. Handles arrangements for groups/conference and banqueting business from inquiry to signature of the contract, liaises with sales coordinators on gathering group details and gives follow-up call after the group/event final departure. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES• Actively work as a member of the team, contributing towards converting business, maximising revenue and generating business• Receive and actively convert enquiries into confirmed bookings through effective enquiry handling, demonstrating good sales and up selling skills• Be a one point of contact & a consultant to guest from the first call till the day of the event conducting site inspections• maintaining trace system(s) to ensure provisional inquiries are converted to confirmed business or released in a timely manner according to departmental standards• completes contracts on confirmation of business and obtains client's signature.• Prepare Banquet Event Orders (BEO) for upcoming events and liaise all clients requests with operational departments• Meets with event/group organizer on site during their stay to build relationship and monitor quality of the service delivered.• Calls to follow-up day after final departure of group/event.• Works towards Achieving the Annual Sales Budget• Attends any promotional/cocktail party organised by the hotel.• Plan and carry out direct sales activities as per agreed budgets, sales volumes and values
What we need from you
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS• Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in related field.• Has a passion for Sales and Marketing• Enjoys interacting with people• Confident telephone manner• Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods• Commitment to delivering a high level of guest satisfaction• Good attention to detail and planning abilities• Fluently speaking in Dutch and English
