The hotel comprises of 844 rooms and suites, 26 banquet & meeting venues, and 12 F&B outlets, including the recently renovated Pierre Gagnaire restaurant – awarded 2 Michelin stars. The hotel is located in the center of Tokyo, one of the biggest and the most exciting cities in Asia, which will hold the Olympic Summer Games in 2020

We are looking for a discerning, experienced, sophisticated Area Director of Sales & Marketing – Greater Tokyo, to lead the team at the award winning, world recognized, ANA InterContinental Tokyo . The successful candidate will enjoy progression in this senior commercial pipeline role.

Reporting directly to the Area General Manager, you will lead a team of 70 , (Sales & Marketing, PR & Communications, Banquets & Weddings) contribute significantly to the achievement of the area hotels strategic goals. You will provide operational guidance and support to the Department Managers and ensure the area hotels strategies are driven and achieved. Oversees and directs all aspects of the Sales and Marketing activities. Responsibilities include overseeing the planning and development of promotional strategies and marketing plans; oversee and assist with the development and implementation of the sales and marketing plan; management of the sales and marketing team and reporting on effectiveness of the plan. Responsibilities also require direct and routine interaction with Regional Sales and Marketing office. Will ideally have proven understanding of bringing to life the nuance of the luxury experience, experience of sophisticated owner relationships, the drive and passion to lead a team and achieve above market performance. Qualifications

Ideally you will have a bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing or a related field, have at least 4 years experience in commercial leadership role across large complex hotels in international gateway city locations.
