As Executive Chef of InterContinental's luxury hotels you need to be a truly exceptional professional who is passionate about food, wine and delivering a superior guest experience.

This role requires a strong leader with the ability to strategically plan and also operationally execute the food offering in this luxury five star hotel. You'll be responsible for the delivery of food quality that reflects the InterContinental brand, adhere to brand standards and policies along with the management and achievement of profit for all food and beverage outlets, including the hotel’s two Restaurants, Lobby Lounge, Club InterContinental, Room Service and Banquet operations which is a large part of our business. You will inspire your colleagues and have the genuine care to train and develop a high performing team to strive for continued excellence and financial success for the department. Overseeing a smooth operation that adheres to local health, safety and other compliance concerns will be second nature for you, and you will be a true brand ambassador in everything you do.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced Executive Sous Chef with demonstrated performance in a complex hotel environment, or a current Executive Chef with a ‘hands on’ style, who understands and can deliver on the expectations of luxury from a guest perspective, and have demonstrated financial results within a similar size hotel operation.

Ideally, you will have a minimum of 4 years experience in a similar role, delivering high level of food quality within a luxury hotel environment. You will have relevant culinary qualifications, experience across all areas of the kitchen, demonstrated performance leading a successful team and worked with food safety systems such as HACCP.
