Join us as Assistant Manager at InterContinental Sydney Double Bay. You’ll have ambition, talent and obviously, some key skills. Because, for this vital role, we’re looking for someone who will be involved in all pertinent matters affecting guest service and hotel operations to ensure guests receive prompt attention and personal recognition throughout the hotel. As an Assistant Manager you are responsible for responding to guest needs; resolving any issues that may arise; supervising and supporting Reception and Concierge during busy periods; greeting; rooming and sending off VIP Guests; conducting daily departmental briefings and providing input for regular team meetings. You will also play an integral part in leading and developing the team through training and development.
Ideally you'll have demonstrated experience in a front office role within a five star luxury operation and have previous experience in leading a team. You'll be driven to achieve desired results through the key performance indicators associated with guest and colleague satisfaction. You'll have excellent guest relations, problem solving and time management skills; have a working knowledge of hotel property management systems such as Opera and an understanding of point of sales systems such as Micros.
