Job Role

As a Cluster Director of Revenue for InterContinental Malta and Holiday Inn Express Malta, you will direct revenue management processes to maximize performance, profitability and return on investment by creating a positive and productive work environment. This is a leading role in promoting the IHG vision, purpose and IHG Winning Ways.

In co-operation with all revenue generating department heads, facilitates, guides and directs these departments in selecting the optimum revenue opportunities for the hotel. Measures total revenue performance against strategy and target and re-aligns current strategy if required.Actively monitors competitive environment and devises tactics and strategies to maximise market share. Maintains the hotel’s revenue systems integrity at all times and ensures all linked systems are aligned at all times.

Duties and responsibilities:

REVENUE

  • Assesses, evaluates and implements revenue generation strategies to ensure the maximization

  • of revenue with the revenue and yield-committee.

  • Facilitates the Revenue Room

  • Conducts Yield meetings

  • Establishes demand calendar for rooms and catering future pace

PRICING

  • Determines hotel pricing policy for all segments reflecting market conditions can competitive environment in conjunction with each specialist head of department.

  • Monitors group ceilings with forecast demand and approve all group and meeting request Outside of the specified guideline.

  • Sets strategies for overbooking level during high period.

ANALYSE

  • Supports all departments with revenue related analysis as appropriate

  • Compiles month end analysis and commentary

  • Analyses lost business, conversion rates and lead-time in conjunction with Director of Sales & Marketing

  • Assess and reviews booking behaviours and trends impacting the hotel business

  • Supports DOSM in analyzing effectiveness of sales resources deployed and proposes adjustments as appropriate

BUDGET AND FORECAST

  • In cooperation with the executive team prepares revenue figures for rooms and F&B for annual budget

  • Produces forecasts according to company guidelines for all revenues

  • In addition to the above-mentioned duties, the candidate may receive additional tasks.

The successful candidate will have a relevant Bachelors' degree and a minimum of 2 years post graduate work experience in the revenue field, ideally with an international hotel brand, as well as experience leading a team of others. Your excellent communication skills, a strong drive for results, coupled with the ability to think ahead and confidently lead and develop yourself and colleagues will see you succeed in this role.
