Join us as a Meetingsand Events Manager . You’ll have ambition, talent and obviously, some key

skills. Because of this vital role, we are looking for someone who can manage

all aspects of the meetings and events sales, including the sale of weddings.

Your key

responsibilities will be to get in touch with potential clients, and propose

them different options for their events. You will be the main contact for them,

from the start to the end of their event. You will prepare and discuss

contracts with the clients, after which, liaise with operations department to

ensure the events run smoothly.

You will be leading

events in different areas, such as Meetings, Incentive, Conference, Events, and

Weddings. When the event includes hotel rooms, you also liaise with the rooms

department for a seamless service to the clients.

Further, you organize sales

activities such as sales blitz, site inspections, organize and/or participate

to wedding shows, sales calls, etc…. in order to meet your individual and

department targets. You review sales and other revenue generating business

plan, identify gaps, ensure proactive measures are taken to fill function space

capacity and maximize space and revenue to achieve the optimum departmental

revenue targets.

The Meetings and Events

Manager will be responsible to develop and maintain contacts with business

generations, meeting and convention planners, visitors/convention Bureau/

travel agents, tour operators, airlines, corporate accounts, Government

Departments and other producers closely allied to hotel business.


In addition, you should

have the following qualifications and skills, the ideal candidate will have :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Businessor Hotel Management, with at least 4 years’ related experience in asimilar capacity

  • Supervisory experiencepreferred

  • A passion for the service andhospitality industry

  • Adaptable, driven and someonewho thrives in a fast paced environment

  • Proactive, highly motivated andhas excellent interpersonal & communication skills.

  • A people-oriented individualwith strong leadership skills
