Set in 5 hectares of landscaped garden, the Holiday Inn & Suites, Port Moresby offers a secure environment combined with Papua New Guinea Friendliness, all located in the Government District.Due to internal promotion, we are looking for a Manager of Finance and Business Support to help lead our Finance Team.Reporting into the Director of Finance & Business Support, you will lead and develop all members of the Accounting Department as well as manage the accounting function for this hotel. You will provide functional guidance to the Executive Committee and Department Heads and interact with internal and external stakeholders to effectively control the assets of the business and to provide commercial business support.
You will assist and provide financial guidance in the formulation and implementation of Strategic Plans, Budgets and KPI's. You will manage cash flow projections and performance through controls on inventory, credit and collection, disbursements, deposits and remittances as well as the monthly preparation of actual results against budget. You will analyse results and recommend measures required to meet budget, as well as prepare a consolidated quarterly and annual position assessments.
Ideally you will have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Commerce (or equivalent), preferably be a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) with an excellent knowledge of hotel accounting software. You must have strong commercial acumen with the ability to partner with key internal stakeholders to drive the financial performance of the business. A basic knowledge of hotel PMS (Opera) and hotel point of sales system (Micros), as well as negotiation and effective presentation skills will see you successful in this role.
You will possess excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, proficient skills in written and oral communication and a desire/ability to travel and work in different countries.
