The InterContinental brand is returning to Perth in October 2017. InterContinental Perth will be a 240-room design orientated hotel in the heart of Perth’s CBD. Focused on corporate and transient market it will bring the InterContinental personalised service to life.

We are looking for a Chief Concierge to join our charming, confident and internationally minded team who know how to exceed guest expectations at InterContinental Perth City Centre, with a targeted start July 2017 in order to be part of the pre-opening team.

You must have ambition, talent and obviously, some key skills. Because, for this vital role, we’re looking for someone who can be an ambassador of the hotel and the manager who will develop and build strong and positive relationships with our guests to ensure that their stay is memorable. Delivering on the True Luxury InterContinental Brand standards with an emphasis on Global Etiquette service standards will be core to the success of this role.

Key responsibilities also include assisting guests with all their enquiries, and providing detailed knowledge of the hotel's activities for the day, key occurrences in Perth, transport information, location of major buildings and places of interest, etc. to our guests. This role leads the Concierge Team as well as leads the Bell team and Door Ambassador. As a leader, you will be responsible for the people management relating to recruitment, on boarding, performance management and rostering / payroll management.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, with exposure to leading Concierge and Bell Services. You will need excellent presentation standards at all times and willing to use initiative and creativity to deliver above and beyond service. Additionally, you must be comfortable and confident communicating with our guests from different countries and backgrounds, be willing to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays. Being a member of Le Clefs d'Or would be advantageous.
