Description:

•Coordinate daily tasks with the Executive

sous-chef

• Visually inspect, select and use only the freshest fruits,

vegetables, meats, fish, fowl and other food products of the highest standard

in the preparation of the menu items.

• Ensure proper receiving, storage (including temperature

setting) and rotation of food products so as to comply with health department

regulations.

• Supervise daily cleaning.

• Report any equipment in need of repair to chef

and engineering for service.

• Perform other duties as necessary and

assigned.

•Follow the instructions and recommendations

from the immediate superiors to complete the daily tasks

•Ensure the highest standards and consistent

quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new products,

recipes and preparation techniques and process

requisitions for supplies.

• Prepare the daily mis-en-place and food

production, instruct and lead subordinates through their daily requirements in

food preparation and actively take part in set up and supervising of buffets

and special functions

•Consult and check on daily requirements,

functions and last minute events

•Guide and train the subordinates on a daily

basis to ensure high motivation and economical working environment

Qualifications

You should have a professional chefs

training course and previous experience in a quality establishment with good

culinary skills. The ability to communicate in English and a proven track of

food preparation, preservation knowledge is an essential.
