Supporting the concept of Theo Randall at The InterContinental London Park Lane as a successful and independent unit, acknowledged within the London market, defined by its vibrant and personalized service provided by your team of dynamic, passionate and well trained individuals.

A vital aspect of this position is to lead, create and support the Food & Beverage platform, building enthusiasm and passion amongst all team members. As part of the strategy you will be recognized as the culinary knowledge exchange hub for guest and team members alike.

The Food and Beverage Team Leader assists the manager and team leaders to deliver service standards, maintain quality equipment, is consistent in product presentation and service and may be asked to support other operational areas as business requires. This position must always remain flexible regarding working hours and shift patterns, which may differ in times of high business level.

The Senior Team Leader’s main objectives are to ensure a consistent and quality service is delivered to all guests. The associate is to assist the manager with achieving high scores on guest satisfaction surveys by recognising repeat guests and to do what it takes to ensure all guest needs are met – within reason.

  • Examples of organizational and English communication skills must be displayed. Experience in a five-star or similar environment is required (hotel or independent).

  • Strong leadership, management, organisational and communication skills with team leader/ supervisor experience in international 5 star environments and with a strong training background.

  • Demonstrate experience of guests’ recovery and conflict handling.

  • Excellent knowledge of food products, dishes and the preparation methods, profound knowledge of customer service and of all beverage products such as spirits, wines, beers, cocktail and cocktail preparation methods is not essential.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of business acumen, support and assist the restaurant manager with cost controlling, forecasting and knowledge of industry trends.

  • Micros or other similar POS system knowledge is taken into consideration.
